In 2012 South London Healthcare Trust was placed under a Trust Special Administrator (TSA) regime to establish a sustainable future for health services in south east London.
Prederi worked with NHS Bexley CCG and NHS South East London Cluster to deliver a multi-stakeholder programme across the London Borough of Bexley and neighbouring areas, to establish commissioning intentions to develop Queen Mary’s Hospital, one of the three hospital sites within the Trust.
Prederi then supported a further phase of work to develop commissioning plans and detailed transition plans in conjunction with the overall TSA implementation.
Prederi worked with NHS Bexley CCG and NHS South East London Cluster to deliver the strategic programme responsible for development of a shared strategy and vision, and quantified commissioning intentions for a local hospital and community hub on the Queen Mary’s Hospital site.
The outputs were developed into a formal response from NHS Bexley CCG and London Borough of Bexley to the TSA and formed the basis of formal consultation and subsequent TSA recommendations to the Secretary of State on the future of the hospital.Prederi then supported a further phase of work to develop commissioning plans and detailed transition plans in conjunction with the overall TSA implementation, before transitioning support for the programme to a dedicated team within the CCG.

The outcome was successful agreement of the commissioning intentions for Queen Mary’s as part of the TSA consultation and subsequent recommendations to Secretary of State, followed by the re-casting of the programme to oversee delivery of the requirements needed as part of the TSA implementation. Work was successfully delivered within the ambitious timescale of the TSA process, and involved a successful multi-stakeholder approach to ensure buy-in and partnership working.
